Edwin L. Keiter
Edwin Linwood Keiter, 83, of 930 Woodstock Lane, died Saturday Dec. 16, 2000, in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Keiter was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Frederick County, the son of John William and Mary Esther Pugh Keiter.
He retired from Avtex Corporation in 1979 after 37 years of service. He was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church.
He married Lottie Ilee Mowery Dec. 16, 1939, in Winchester.
Survivor with his wife are two daughters, Joyce K. McKay of Winchester and Carole K. Ward of Salado, Texas; a sister, Edith Symons of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with the Rev. Valerie Ritter and the Rev. Robert Throckmorton Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard F. Ward, Richard F. Ward II, Frederick H. McKay, Edward H. McKay, John W. McKay, and William A. Kesner.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
